Bike Fever

This Easter, North East Cycling (NEC) are back with not just one but two training camps as well as their new Pop Up Bike Mechanics service and Learn to Ride sessions.

Pop Up Bike Mechanics

We kick off with the mechanic pop ups, which start at CVL on Monday 7th April at 10am with a stop off at North Ormesby Park at 1pm too. It will run every other week like this and the weeks in between they will be at South Bank at 10am and Grangetown at 1pm - with exact locations being posted nearer the times.

This pop up service is perfect if you need help fixing something on your bike, or you want to learn more about how to look after your bike. You might even want to upgrade it for better performance. Just turn up at the right spot and we’ll see you there!

Easter HAF Cycling Camp

Next we have the Easter HAF sessions where you can learn more about cycling and take part in a range of different styles, including road racing, mountain biking, cyclocross and track cycling. Join NEC on Wednesday and Thursday of the school holidays between 10am and 2pm at Middlesbrough Sports Village.

Suitable for ages 7 to 16 years, no experience necessary. Children are recommend to bring their own bikes however NEC will have bikes and helmets available each day for those unable to bring their own. These sessions are FREE so book your place now via the link.

Track Cycling Academy Camp

The Academy Camp sessions are an excellent opportunity for Youth Riders to experience a full day of training on the Velodrome. They will test your fitness and some sessions will aim to prepare riders for various types of track racing. Suitable for children aged 9 to 16 years, who have some previous track experience. Join NEC on Tuesday 15th and 22nd April, 10am to 3pm at Middlesbrough Sports village.

AND don’t forget, we also run our Learn to Ride sessions every Friday, 4:30pm to 5pm and 5:15pm to 5:45pm at Middlesbrough Sports Village.
