Feel good!
It’s been a whirlwind of a time since the new term started so we wanted to take a minute to pause and reset.
We ended the Summer holidays with our Wellbeing Community Day where you could access health checks, gentle activities to get you moving, people to talk to - professional or not depending on your needs, and the amazing Sensory Bus from Unite Club who were the perfect partners for this event. Their Sensory Bus was perfect for young ones offering indoor and outdoor games, all sorts of support for children with additional needs and a great way to get them thinking differently.
We were also joined by Pamela from More Than a Run who runs her Root and Rise session every Friday at CVL from 9.30am. It involves making small changes to help you feel better, and it starts by turning up. We do cooking, walking, movement, talking, all sorts and Pamela is there to help you understand where to start, how to keep focused, how to take the next step and help you see your progress.
You can see all the wonderful photos below.
Since then we, like lots of other people have started the new term and got our heads down trying to ignore the disappearance of the sunshine, fit back into the routine of school and just keep going. But sometimes you just need to stop and breathe.
On this World Mental Health Day we wanted to take the chance to say we all need a reminder and that’s okay.
We’re here if you need us, join our classes or pop by and say hello. You can also access even more support below on how to support your mental health.
